Dina Barnese
Executive Director
Dina fell in love with The Flagstaff Foundry the first time she attended, where she witnessed an act that comprised sandwich-making to oboe music. Her mind was blown and she was hooked. As a lover of the performing arts and a performer herself, she is inspired by Foundry community and loves being involved.
She serves as ED and oversees the business and administrative functions of the Foundry. She loves the front and back of the house and has performed at the Foundry as well as managing production for several shows. Dina is the front woman for Flagstaff band F-Town Sound.
John Compton
Production Manager
John is known in Flagstaff for celebrating all that is nerdy, artistic, or weird. So naturally, The Foundry is the perfect place for him to intern. John hosts local events like medieval craft nights, pop-up interactive theater, and game nights through Peppercorn Games. His first recommendation to newcomers is always The Foundry to show them what Flag is all about. In his free time, John volunteers with FlagShakes, and builds props and board game components in his fabrication lab. When his social battery gets low, he likes to camp with a telescope, practice aerial, and spin a yarn around a campfire.
